Pesticides are harming bees and wildlife

Declining bee populations are a major cause for concern, and pesticides often provide an easy target for headline writers and campaign groups.

However, leading scientist and bee-keeping organisations agree that the most significant factors affecting bee health are pests and diseases such as the Varroa mite and Nosema virus, alongside habitat degradation, climate change and loss of nutrition sources.

Pesticides are strictly regulated to avoid any unintended adverse effects on non-target insects such as bees and other wildlife.
